Danny Clark and James Ihedigbo (2)

Last night our Great American panelist N.Y. Giant Danny Clark hosted his weekly Monday Night Football charity event,  filled with Giants greats Osi Umenyiora, Chris Canty, Fred Robbins -- and N.Y. Jet James Ihedigbo!

So, even though football is considered one of the roughest sports, off the field players DO get along -- especially when it comes to their littlest fans!

37-year-old Ahmad Wais Afzali, an imam at a mosque in Queens, was arrested Sunday in New York. Afazali -- along with Najibullah Zazi, 24, and his 53-year-old father Mohammed Wali Zazi who were arrested in Colorado -- is accused of making false statements to the government. Investigators said they found notes on bomb-making that appear to match the younger Zazi's handwriting and discovered his fingerprints on materials that could be used to make explosives. Mohammed Zazi and Afzali are accused of lying to FBI agents about calls between Denver and New York.

Zazi's arrest touched off an intense flurry of government terror warnings and advisories, with authorities cautioning transit systems, sports stadiums, hotels and entertainment complexes to be vigilant as investigators search for more suspects in a possible Al Qaeda plot to set off hydrogen-peroxide bombs.

Law enforcement officials said Zazi may have been plotting with others to detonate backpack bombs on New York trains in a scheme similar to the attacks on the London subway and Madrid's rail system in the last few years. Backpacks and cell phones were seized in raids on apartments Zazi visited in New York.

In a statement, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security said that while the agencies "have no information regarding the timing, location or target of any planned attack, we believe it is prudent to raise the security awareness of our local law enforcement partners regarding the targets and tactics of previous terrorist activity."

Ainsley Earhardt was recently given exclusive access to the NYPD’s Counter-Terrorism division, and got a behind-the-scenes look at how the work around the clock to keep America’s number one target safe from terror.

  • A Great American Artist

081709_han_luntz_0If you saw our 'Hannity' town hall last week you might have noticed an amazing painting of President Teddy Roosevelt held up by our own Frank Luntz .

Well that paining and many more renditions of American culture are produced by artist Steve Penley.

Samples of Steve's artwork and a sneak peak at his new book "The Reconstruction of America" are available HERE.

We hope all of our Great American Bloggers will check it out!

071609_ha_chart_0Click here to view a PDF file of the GOP's health care flow chart that Griff Jenkins broke down on the show last night (or "Candy Land" as he calls it.)

The chart shows the president and Congress at the top, with dozens of agencies and officials responsible for various slices of the health care program underneath.

The suggestion inherent in the chart is that the health care system would grind to a near-halt under the Democrats' plan.

What are your thoughts on the chart?
