ESPN - Rush Limbaugh is expected to be dropped from a group bidding to buy the St. Louis Rams, according to three NFL sources.

Dave Checketts, chairman of the NHL's St. Louis Blues and the point man in the Limbaugh group attempting to buy the Rams, realizes he must remove the controversial conservative radio host from his potential role as a minority member in the group in order to get approval from other NFL owners, the sources said.

Health care reform cleared a major hurdle Tuesday, as the Senate Finance Committee voted to send its version of the legislation to the Senate floor after months of closely watched deliberations.

The committee voted 14-9 in favor of the package. One Republican, Maine Sen. Olympia Snowe, broke with her party to support the bill. All 13 Democrats on the panel voted in favor of it, while the rest of the Republicans opposed it.

Much work still remains on the package, and Senate Republicans made clear after the committee vote that they will continue to fight the bill. The House still needs to bring a unified version to the floor, blending the Finance bill with a more liberal version passed by the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee.

President Obama said Friday he was "most surprised and deeply humbled" to win the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize, adding that he accepts the honor as "a call to action to confront the common challenges of the 21st century."

The Nobel committee said its decision to honor the president was motivated by Obama's initiatives to reduce nuclear arms, ease tensions with the Muslim world and stress diplomacy and cooperation rather than unilateralism.

But with the U.S. at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, Congress  yet to pass a law reducing carbon emissions, and little significant reduction in global nuclear stockpiles since Obama took office, some said the award was premature.

The nomination deadline for the Prize was Feb.1, less than two weeks after the Obama presidency began.

Did Obama deserve to win the Nobel Peace Prize?
