  • Reid a 'Childish Bully'?

The publisher of the Las Vegas Review-Journal on Sunday accused Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, a Nevada Democrat, of "bullying" his newspaper by telling an employee he wants the Review-Journal shut down.

Sherman Frederick alleged in a column in his newspaper that the "full-on threat" was made during a brief exchange between Reid and the newspaper's advertising director Wednesday at a luncheon for the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce.

Frederick said that as Reid shook the employee's hand, he said, "I hope you go out of business."

It's unclear whether Reid's comment was meant in jest. A representative for Reid could not be reached for a response, but Frederick apparently did not take it lightly.

In excoriating him, Frederick referenced Reid's upcoming 2010 election -- which a recent poll published by the Review-Journal shows is a tough race for the powerful incumbent senator.

Do you think Reid will lose his Senate seat?

  • 'Elect Anyone BUTT Harry Reid'

Day three of the Tea Party Express stopped in little Ely, NV on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

Ely was a coal mining town but recently the plant got shut down. Many of the residents, including the Mayor John Hickman, says Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is to blame... which is why you can't travel a hundred yards without seeing signs that read: "Elect Anyone Butt Harry Reid"!

  • Rolling Along

Our first stop of Day Two on the Tea Party Express was in beautiful Winnemucca, NV.

It's a small place and the folks there are very nice -- population of about 9,000.

A few hundred folks turned out on a gorgeous day... check it out:

It's only the second day of the Tea Party Express tour and I am reminded that we live in the greatest country in the world.

And if you open your eyes, there are a few interesting things to see on the way from Sacramento to Washington.

Here was something that struck my cameraman Rich D'elia and I as a road trip wonder that was simply too good to pass!

    Long live Rolling Thunder...

  • All Aboard!

This was our first stop of the Tea Party Express -- the bus has left Sacramento, folks!

Some 5,000 Americans turned out in Sacramento to voice their disgust with the direction the country is headed and the disconnect with the Washington politicians.

Next stop: Reno, here we come!
