    1. Remember when dissent was patriotic?  Not anymore.  According to Henry Waxman (D-CA),

    It appears that the Republican party leadership in the Congress has made a decision that they want to deny President Obama success — which means, in my mind, they are rooting against the country as well.

    2. Small businesses not happy about cap-and-trade bill.

    3. Al Gore says fighting global warming is like fighting the Nazis.  No, seriously. He told a British audience:

    Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilization in World War II.  We have everything we need except political will but political will is a renewable resource.

    4. The Washington Post sells out, but they have a great defense: everyone else did it, too!

The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Economist, the New Yorker, Newsweek (owned by The Washington Post Co.) and dozens of trade magazines host events that feature their journalists in panel discussions and interviews with newsmakers.
