AP FILE: Michael Steele speaks at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn. on Sept. 3, 2008

The Republican National Committee has picked Michael Steele to be the new face of the party as the GOP forges a revival following a second consecutive electoral drubbing.

Steele, the former Maryland lieutenant governor, won the chairmanship Friday after six rounds of voting in which five candidates were competing. He becomes the first black chairman of the Republican Party just days after President Obama became the nation's first black president.

Tonight, the man of the hour joins Sean to lay out just exactly how he plans to revitalize fledgling party. Be sure to tune in at 9 p.m. ET!

What do you think about the selection and the future of the Republican Party? How can it get back on track?

  • Washington Divided

    Tonight on "Hannity"…

Conservatism makes a comeback as House Republicans stand united against the stimulus bill. Now, the Politico reports the White House will lead political recriminations against those Republicans for standing on principal. Doesn't sound much like the bipartisanship that Obama was promising, does it?

Cue the violins! Gov. Blagojevich brought the circus to the Illinois Senate today making a long-winded last stand in his impeachment trial. Did the legislature buy the political theater?

A new element debuts in tonight's Media Mash called 60 Minutes in 60 Seconds. It's all the bias without sitting through the real thing! Consider it our service to you!

All that plus Thursday's Gitmo All-Star in Hannity's America, the latest from the Hate Hannity Hotline and the Great American Panel tonight at 9 p.m. ET!

  • Intern's Perspective: Hate Hannity Hotline

    Hannity Intern  |

Today I got to listen and sift through over 500 Hate Hannity Hotline messages! Which is NOTHING, since "Danger" said last night he listened to over 700 messages! There were a few (and by FEW, I mean a few HUNDRED) messages I found amusing.

For example, many people called in expressing their SUPPORT for Sean. (umm guys! This is the HATE Hannity Hotline! NOT love lines!)

There was one amusing message of a man pretending to be like Beavis and Butthead and he just kept swearing and then laughing at his own colorful language. (I think he MAY need a new hobby!?)

There were many songs, some using Sean's name, and some jolly lyrics that were HIGHLY hilarious. (But guys, American Idol started in January! Auditions are over for now… but maybe you can try again next year!? )

APPARENTLY Hannity and Stephen Colbert are involved in a phone line battle royale because a few Colbert viewers called in and made sure we knew how much they loooooved Colbert, and then some "Hannity" viewers called in to bash Colbert. This is the first we had heard of Colbert's challenge... but WE say… let the battle CONTINUE!

Keep 'em coming guys!  This task was making all the other interns jealous!

  • Conservative Commentator War

    Web Producer  |

    Tonight on "Hannity"...

The battle lines are drawn! Democrats launch an anti-Rush petition after the talker's comments on this program last week and the president's warning to Republicans to ignore conservative commentary. Then, Republican Rep. Phil Gingrey chimes in with a diss of his own, adding Sean and Newt Gingrich to the mix! Surely our guest Ann Coulter has something to say about this!

In Your America tonight, former GE CEO Jack Welch takes you inside Obama's CEO pow-wow in Washington and answers the question: Will a massive stimulus package stimulate anything?

We'll also have an update on the case that started the eminent domain war. You won't believe what happened to the house at the center of this now infamous battle in a "Hannity" exclusive.

Plus, the Gitmo All-Star of the night in Hannity's America and the Great American Panel at 9 p.m. ET!
